I love the Olympics. I love Asia. What a great combination. But my heart breaks for my Christian brothers and sisters in China. It breaks for the suffering they endure in the name of Jesus.

As I learn more about my persecuted friends in various places throughout Asia, my heart echos the cry of Revelation 6:9-11 "how long Sovereign Lord." For now, the answer remains "a little while longer." (see 1st Peter for a great perpective on suffering).
So, over the next few weeks, as I watch China at its greatest, I will be praying for the view we don't see on TV... for the people who aren't free to attend the events... for the stories of great heros that remain unspoken.
